With only 50 kg produced per year, JUKI is the jewel of Irie-san that ENSO is honored and delighted to offer to our discerning tea lovers.
Notes of persimmon and toasted almond underscore the exceptionally sweet and smooth liquor of this competition-grade sencha, with nuances of steamed bok choy and sweet grass. Its remarkable umami leaves a long and delicious mouthfeel.
JUKI is presented in 120g in a beautiful hand-painted lacquered cylinder, decorated with delicate gold leaf, for the perfect seasonal gift. The cylinder is protected by a handcrafted box made of lightweight, finely grained paulownia wood.
JUKI, like its little brother JUN, is one of the few organic teas grown in the Yame region. This tea is grown at an altitude of 400 meters, which allows the tea leaves to absorb more nutrients, minerals and vitamins.
Produced in small quantities by a grower who relies solely on the power of nature, this is an exceptional and rare tea that even our customers in Japan are surprised to discover.
