It is a fragrant salt made from the leaves and fruits of several species of trees growing in the forest and hills of Rokugatsu Yōka no Mori, trees closely linked to traditional Japanese culinary culture.

The leaves and fruits are mixed with artisanal sea salt rich in minerals.

Nazuna salt is produced in Saiki, in the coastal district of Yonozu-Magoeshi, renowned for its pristine seascapes. The ancient forests along the coast naturally enrich these clear waters with minerals.
This salt is produced in small quantities using traditional, environmentally friendly methods :

  • Seawater is collected at high tide,

  • Slowly concentrated by the natural wind, firewood, and iron cauldrons,

  • Then matured in cedar barrels to develop its richness in flavors and minerals.
